empire state games
empire state games was way before my time. i think i was ten years old when this band actually existed, but this record is seriously amazing. 90′s emo along the lines of promise ring or texas is the reason. if you liked the kid brother collective records i put up then there’s no way you won’t love this.

Less like Promise Ring and more like Texas is the Reason on steroids. The live track was from a show at Empire of One in Flint. Nate and Dave went on to play in Moods for Moderns, Rodrigo plays bass for Saves the Day, and Chris moved to Chicago and joined an instrumental band (the name escapes me right now).

Dave was also in Koufax with member of The Leftovers. Which by the way if any has The Leftovers “Lane Art” I would really like that!
